Features
Will the age of my vehicle effect the application for insurance?
On the dayinsure.com web site you can purchase immediate short term comprehensive
car insurance cover. This is temporary vehicle cover for cars, vans and goods carrying
vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes GVW. The cover is subject to the short term insurance
customer acceptance criteria and vehicle acceptance criteria, and you will need
to enter your driving licence details during the quote process.
We provide short term vehicle insurance for cars and vans, for planned or emergency
uses, for adding temporary additional drivers or temporary additional vehicles.
You can use the temporary cover to facilitate delivery of your new vehicle, or to
test drive a car or van from a potential private sale.
The pay by day car cover is purchased through an online payment process by secure
debit/credit card transaction. Your temporary insurance certificate and schedule
can be printed off on your own printer, and we register the short term cover with
the Motor Insurance Database (MID). We have included the additional benefit of Uninsured
Loss Recovery with a legal advice helpline provided by RAC Legal Services. There
is also an option to buy temporary roadside assistance cover called dayresQ which
is administered by Mondial Assistance (UK) Limited. This is available for European
travel and is a new product unique to dayinsure. The short term cover does not compromise
the ‘no claims bonus’ element of any annual cover on the vehicle.
